Individual Therapy:

In my work I use a Psychodynamic approach, which means that I believe the relationship I create with my client is the foundation for healing. I also integrate Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Expressive Art Therapy techniques in the process. I put specific techniques to use after getting to know each individual client's unique style, needs, and concerns.

No matter what the issue is, I use a warm, interactive, and non-judgmental approach to guide my clients through a process of self discovery, as well as assist them in the possible steps they can take in order to fulfill their own personal goals. It is my goal for each of my clients to heal old wounds, find new ways to express themselves, and cope with the challenges that brought them to therapy.

Relationship Therapy:

The most beneficial aspect of relationship, or couples, therapy is that there is now a specified amount of time each week for energy to be given to the relationship. It is during this time that each perspective can be brought to the forefront, where it will be discussed and explored in depth. During this process, communication skills will be enhanced so that there is more active listening, understanding, compassion, and responding, rather than reacting, attacking, and defensiveness.

My work leads couples to slow down, become aware of their deeper thoughts and feelings that are attached to their immediate reactions, and think more mindfully about each step that they take.
